Common TX/RX antenna operation with internal PIN diode switch
The transceiver can be operated with a common TX/RX antenna by using an internal PIN diode switch for switchover between the receive path and transmit path. The integrated switch makes the use of an external antenna relay obsolete. Furthermore, reliability is increased, as the integrated switch does not have mechanical moving parts.
Use of a separate RX and TX antenna is still possible, reducing quality degradation due to interference.
AF output for voice recording equipment or side tone available on transmitter output and receiver output
The transceiver allows independent operation of the transmitter and receiver at the same time (independent synthesizers). Thus, the transmitted signal can be monitored via the receiver, including the antenna path in the monitoring loop.
